2019 NHL Draft: New York Rangers Select Adam Edstrom 161st Overall

The New York Rangers selected Adam Edstrom with their 161st pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. Edstrom appeared in 20 games with Mora IK J20 in the SuperElit league last season where he registered 11 goals, five assists and 16 points.

There isn’t much in terms of a scouting report on Edstrom, but at first glance, it’s evident that he’s absolutely massive coming in at 6’6”. He appeared in 15 SHL games last season as well, and only registered a single assist. It’s fairly evident that this a project pick for the Rangers, but he is a goal scorer with plenty of size so we’ll see where this pick goes.
