With the Rangers defense hampered by injuries, the team recalled defenseman Ryan Lindgren from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL this afternoon. Lindgren, 20, was acquired by the Rangers from the Boston Bruins at last season’s trade deadline in a move that saw Rick Nash head up to Massachusetts.

In the first 35 games of his first full professional hockey season, the Burnside, Minnesota native has 5 assists and has, according to reports, been rather steady on the Wolf Pack blueline. Today’s been a day of shake ups for the Rangers as the team also announced the acquisition of Connor Brickley from Nashville and sending Cole Schneider the other way.
