Game Thread: Rangers vs Bruins

It’s time for some original six hockey

Tonight the New York Rangers are looking to rebound against the visiting Boston Bruins after blowing a late lead to the Los Angeles Kings on Monday night.

Boston is coming off of a 3-1 victory over the New York Islanders wherein Patrice Bergeron picked up two points in his 1,000th NHL game. Of course, the Bruins’ captain is just one-third of one of the best lines in hockey.

David Pastrnak is leading the Bruins in scoring with 64 points through 53 games this season. The dangerous winger has already hit the 30-goal mark and his 15 power play points indicate just how dangerous he is when Boston goes on the man advantage. Brad Marchand has 59 points, including 40 assists, this season for the Bruins.

The Bruins are 4-3-3 in their last 10 games and are currently holding on to the top Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference. Boston’s power play is succeeding at a blistering 26.8 percent — which is the third best in the league. The Bruins are also the fifth-best team in the league in the shot share. They will undoubtedly be a tough test for the Blueshirts tonight at the Garden.

Please use this as your open thread and enjoy the game.
