The New York Rangers (29-32-13, 71 points) were eliminated from playoff contention on Sunday night after the Montreal Canadiens lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in overtime. The Blueshirts are 2-5-3 in their last 10 games played, and are coming off a 2-1 overtime victory vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs in which Alexandar Georgiev made 44 saves.
