2019 Stanley Cup Finals: Game 2 Open Thread

After Monday night’s shellacking that aw the Boston Bruins assert their dominance over the St. Louis Blues to take a 1-0 lead in the Finals, the teams will clash tonight once more and look to seize momentum in the series. Another Bruins victory will give them a 2-0 stranglehold as the Stanley Cup Finals shift away from the City of Champions and into St. Louis. Meanwhile, the Blues will be looking to even things up and turn the series into a best-of-5, with home ice advantage in their favor.

The 4-2 score with an empty net goal tacked on at the end made Game 1 look closer than it was. The Bruins recovered from a shaky first period and dominated the final 40:00 en route to securing a victory in the opening game. Tukka Rask wasn’t stellar, but he didn’t need to be. Our old friend Nick Mercadante has the right idea:

Puck drop is scheduled for slightly after 8:00 PM EDT. Enjoy the game.
