NHL: Stanley Cup Playoffs-Dallas Stars at St. Louis Blues Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

For the third time in four years, the Central Division Finals will take seven games to decide a winner. Last year saw the Presidents’ Trophy winning Nashville Predators fall at home against the 2nd ranked Winnipeg Jets. The Dallas Stars were in that same position in 2016, as they welcomed the St. Louis Blues into American Airlines Center with a spot in the Western Conference Finals on the line. The results were......not pretty for the hometown crowd:

With any luck, the Mats Zuccarello will be the missing ingredient the Stars need to avenge their Game 7 loss from three years ago. A Stars victory would grant the Rangers Dallas, first round selection in June, while Blues victory would grant the Rangers the 49th selection in the upcoming Entry Draft.

Puck drop is scheduled for slightly after 8:00 PM EDT on NBCSN. Enjoy the game, go support out friends over at Defending Big D, and let’s go Stars.
