2019 Stanley Cup Finals: Game 6 Open Thread

The Stanley Cup is in the building tonight, as the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues are set to hit the ice for Game 6 of the Finals at Enterprise Center in St. Louis.

After getting dominated throughout Game 5 before taking advantage of a blatant slewfoot that went uncalled to score the game-winning goal, the Blues will look to close out the Finals with a victory on home ice tonight. A win will give the Blues their first Stanley Cup in franchise history

As for the Bruins, they’ve been in this situation before. Down 3-2 in the first round against Toronto Maple Leafs, the team went into Scotiabank Arena, snatched a victory in Game 6, and came home to close out the series in seven. En route to their last championship in 2011, the Bruins were down 3-2 in the finals against the Vancouver Canucks. After defending home ice in Game 6, the team went back out to Vancouver and dominated the Canucks in Game 7 to win the Cup.

Puck drop is scheduled for some time after 8:00 PM EDT. Enjoy the game.
