Today the AHL announced the rosters for the upcoming AHL All-Star Classic, and it includes goaltender Igor Shesterkin, and defenseman Joey Keane.
Both players are in their rookie seasons with the Pack, and have been two of Hartford’s best players. Shesterkin leads all AHL goalies with a 1.98 GAA, he’s second in wins with a record of 14-4-3, he’s fourth overall with a .931 SV%, and is third in the league with three shutouts.
Keane’s production hasn’t been too shabby either, and his 21 points in 33 games puts him second among rookie defenders, eighth in the league among defenders, and 10th among all rookie skaters.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch will also be attending the festivities, and he will be coaching the Atlantic Division All-Stars. With Knoblauch at the helm, Hartford is 19-8-2-5 with 45 points in 34 games.
