New York Rangers Recall Steven Fogarty On Emergency Basis

The New York Rangers announced today they have recalled Steven Fogarty on an emergency basis from Hartford for tonight’s matchup against Colorado.

This likely means Filip Chytil will not go tonight, after sustaining a lower body injury in the win over Dallas on Tuesday. At this point Chytil remains day-to-day.

Post trade deadline teams have a maximum of four callups for the remainder of the year. Emergency callups — demanded by injuries such as this situation — do not count against that cap.
