After four grueling rounds of playoff hockey, we have finally arrived at the Stanley Cup Final between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Dallas Stars. Dallas has been waiting nearly a week to get back into action after they dismissed the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final. Denis Gurianov scored the series clinching goal at the 3:36 mark of the first overtime, and sent the Stars to their first championship round since 200.
As for the Lightning, they booked their ticket on Thursday evening with an overtime victory in Game 6 courtesy of Anthony Cirelli. The Lightning battled through various forms of injuries during the series, and were rewarded with a chance at redemption in the Stanley Cup Final. The last time Tampa advanced this far, they were defeated in six games by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015.
