Open Thread: Game 2 of Stanley Cup Final Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars took the opening game of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday evening, and jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the series. The Lightning will look to bounce back after a miserable effort in Game 1, and they may have a surprise addition to their lineup. The biggest news of the day was the possibility of Steven Stamkos returning to the active roster after missing every game of the playoffs up until this point.

Obviously there was no official confirmation from the team on his return, but the answer will certainly have much more clarity once warmups commence. Adding Stamkos back to the lineup would certainly help the Lightning, as they were searching for answers on offense throughout Game 1. We’ll see how it all plays out tonight with puck drop scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
