The 2019-20 NHL campaign is officially over and the Tampa Bay Lightning are this year’s Stanley Cup Champions. Well, bully for them (especially Ryan McDonagh and Kevin Shattenkirk). But, what about next year?

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has repeatedly stated that the league will have an 82-game 2020-21 regular season despite the fact that it may not get underway until December or January. There’s also been talk of the 2020-21 season starting in a pseudo-bubble, which makes sense considering how successful the NHL’s bubble plan was.

What are the chances of a full 82-game season? Well, it’s hard to say, but it’s clear that is what most people want... even if comes with a lot of risks and problems. The SBNation Reacts poll revealed that 62% of NHL fans want a full 82-game 2020-21 campaign. How much of a priority is that to you?
