2021 Stanley Cup Final Game 5 Open Thread

Will the Cup be lifted tonight?

The Montreal Canadiens won Game 4 in overtime on Monday night to keep their Cup dreams alive and prevent a sweep at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tonight, the Habs have another must-win game on their hands and this time it’s in enemy territory.

Nikita Kucherov enters tonight’s game as the leading scorer of the playoffs with 32 points in 22 games — 19 of those points have been scored on the advantage. Brayden Point leads all skaters with 14 goals in 22 games. He trails Kucherov with 23 points.

Montreal’s leading scorer is Nick Suzuki, who has seven goals and nine assists in 21 games for the Habs. Suzuki had a primary assist in Game 4 on Josh Anderson’s first goal of the game. Of course, Anderson’s second goal of the game was the OT-winner that brought the series back to Tampa.

Tonight’s Game 5 begins at 8:00 p.m. ET.
