2021 World Junior Championship Quarterfinals: Canada & USA Open Thread
The Quarterfinals round of the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship kicked off this evening with eight teams vying for the chance to move on in the tournament. Russia and Germany kicked off the action earlier this afternoon with Russia moving on with a 2-1 victory.
Following the opening game, we moved into one of the more heated rivalries of the day as Sweden faced off against Finland. The Finns were able to rattle off three unanswered goals, including the game winner by Roni Hirvonen with under 30 seconds remaining in the game.
