Report: New York Rangers Waive Tony DeAngelo

The Rangers placed the defenseman on Waivers this afternoon

Following last night’s 5-4 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, the New York Rangers reportedly placed Tony DeAngelo on waivers this afternoon.

DeAngelo picked up his first point of the season in last night’s loss and the two sides agreed to a 2 year, $9.6 million contract this past offseason. DeAngelo was scratched for two games this season after taking an unsportsmanlike penalty late in 1st game of this season, a 4-0 loss to the Islanders. The situation is still developing so standby here for further developments, if any are to come.
