The New York Rangers 2020-21 schedule has been changed due to the New Jersey Devils recent COVID-19 issues surrounding the team. On February 1st, the Devils had to postpone their following 3 games due to 10 players being on the COVID-19 protocol-related absences list. The third postponed game was set to be against the Blueshirts in New Jersey on February 6th.

The following schedule changes are:

  • Rangers versus Devils, initially scheduled for February 6th in New Jersey, is now scheduled for March 4th at 7:00pm.
  • Rangers versus Devils, originally scheduled for March 4th at Madison Square Garden has been scheduled for February 16th at 7:00pm.
  • The Rangers’ game initially scheduled against the Philadelphia Flyers on February 16th at Madison Square Garden, is now scheduled for February 14th at 6:00pm.
  • Rangers versus Devils, originally scheduled for March 5th in New Jersey, is rescheduled to March 6th at 1:00pm.

As of this morning, the NHL announced that 27 games have been rescheduled as a result of the eight Eastern Division teams having to deal with COVID league protocols. With game postponements occurring throughout the league, one could only imagine this is bound to happen again.
