Game #36: New York Rangers vs Buffalo Sabres Open Thread

The Blueshirts are back on the road tonight, as a trek upstate has brought them to KeyBank Center in Buffalo to take on Curtis Lazar, Cody Eakin, and the rest of the Buffalo Sabres. After losing their previous 18 games, the Sabres blew out the Philadelphia Flyers by a 6-2 margin to get off the schneid, and earn their first and only win of March. Former Ranger Steven Fogarty scored his first NHL goal and chipped in with an assist for his first multi-point game as an NHLer. After going scoreless in 18 games during his brief stint on Broadway, Fogarty appears to have found his niche in Buffalo.

Player to Watch: Vitali Kravtsov

With the Brendan Lemieux era in the rearview mirror, a lineup spot has opened up. Since returning to North America earlier this month, Kravtsov has been practicing with the team on a regular basis. Although he won’t be making his NHL debut tonight, Kravtsov is sure to be rocking a sharp outfit as he looks on from the press box. Keep an eye on the Russian rookie as he impacts the game as much as you do tonight.

Enjoy the game! Or don’t, lord knows Kravtsov probably won’t.
