Game #55: New York Rangers vs Boston Bruins Open Thread

Exactly one week ago, Rangers fans were dreaming that these final two games against the Bruins would be for the fourth playoff spot in the MassMutual East Division. However, the Blueshirts have sputtered as they near the end of the regular season, having lost their last four games heading into today’s matchup. Meanwhile, the Bruins took care of business against the divisional bottom feeders, going 3-0-1 over their last four games to wrap up a playoff spot and continue jockeying for playoff seeding in the East Division bracket.

After chaos reigned supreme both on the ice and in New York’s front office yesterday, the Blueshirts will kick off their final set of games of the 2020-21 season tonight in Boston. Between Julien Gauthier’s injury and Pavel Buchnevich’s looming suspension for doling out frontier justice, tonight’s lineup will look much different from last night’s.

Enjoy the game! Or at least try to.
