Adam Huska Named USHL Goaltender of the Year
The Rangers' late-round draft pick from 2015 had himself one heck of a year in the USHL.
The Slovakian-born goaltender that the Rangers took 184th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft (7th round pick) was named the USHL Goaltender of the Year for his outstanding play with the Green Bay Gamblers.

The 6'3" Slovakian netminder is currently 18 years old and has announced that he will be joining the University of Connecticut after his USHL career.
In 37 games played in the USHL regular season Huska posted the best GAA and save percentage in the league by a significant margin. Huska's goaltending helped the Gamblers have the lowest goals against total in the USHL which landed them a spot in the playoffs with the second-best record in the Eastern Conference.

Huska, a native of Slovakia, posted a five-game winning streak from October 10th to November 6th, picking up victories over Youngstown, Muskegon, Waterloo, and twice over Chicago. He picked up his first career USHL shutout a week later, as he blanked the Bloomington Thunder in a 2-0 Gamblers victory. Huska then had another five-game winning streak from December 11th to January 23rd, defeating both Madison and Sioux Falls twice as well as knocking off Chicago. He finished the season winning 17 of his last 22 starts and helped solidify the Gamblers playoff position.
Huska was named USHL Goaltender of the Week twice, November 24th and December 14th. He also represented his home country of Slovakia in the World Junior Championship, appearing in five games throughout the tournament. Huska was named a top-three player of his team for the tournament.
