Report: Anthony Duclair makes New York Rangers roster

After impressing the Rangers brass during preseason, Anthony Duclair has reportedly been told he's made the Rangers.

From the moment Anthony Duclair hit the ice at Traverse City for the Rangers prospect tournament, he made his goal for training camp very clear: to make the New York Rangers. According to Jeremy Filosa of 98.5 Sports of Montreal, its looks like Duclair has achieved that goal, as Filosa is reporting the Rangers will announce tomorrow that Duclair has made the opening day team.

Only 19-years-old, Duclair was selected by the Rangers in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. From there, Duclair opened eyes with his torrid scoring pace in the QMJHL. Coming into training camp this season, Duclair was considered a long shot to make the Rangers out of camp, but after scoring three goals in five games this preseason, Duclair clear caught the attention of the Rangers management.

All of this will obviously be confirmed tomorrow when the team announces its final round of roster cuts, and we'll continue to update that news at it comes in.
