Benoit Allaire to Scale Back Workload

When it rains it pours, and for Rangers fans worldwide there is torrential rain from now into the foreseeable future. Teased by Kevin Weekes late last night, it was announced Benoit Allaire will be lightening his workload with the Rangers organization.

This morning, Mollie Walker confirmed that while Allaire will still be considered the director of goaltending for the Rangers, he will no longer be their active goalie coach. Allaire will be heavily involved in finding the right fit for the team and help maintain the team's elite goaltending status. Allaire has done so much with this organization it cannot be understated, Lundqvist himself spoke on how he is deserving of a place in the hall of fame during his induction. Speaking of the king, how great would it be to see him return to the team in a goaltending coach role? Perhaps a pipe dream as his royal majesty is fitting in oh so well as an analyst.

As the offseason goes on, there are bound to be more details provided on the search for their new coach. Today may seem tough, but it's a day like any other. Be sure to drink some water and try to do something fun. Into the offseason we go, let's go Rangers.
