Blueshirt Bandwidth #107: Garand Theft Hockey
Where is Joonas Korpisalo, and do the Rangers need another goalie before their first back-to-back?
Episode 107 of Blueshirt Bandwidth is the Rod Gilbert Episode—and yes, three other Rangers wore No. 7 before Mr. Ranger made it his. Joe and Eric dig into Dylan Garand’s remarkable start and the waiver gamble that nearly cost the Rangers their starter, the still-unexplained absence of Joonas Korpisalo (send us your theories), and why Scott Morrow is giving off Zac Jones flashbacks. They also break down the Connor Hellebuyck drama in Winnipeg, why taking on Karel Vejmelka or Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen makes little sense, and whether the Rangers need a new backup before their first back-to-back. Plus: the order to extend Gabe Perreault, Will Cuylle, Tye Kartye, and Noah Laba, Alberts Smits’ future pairing, a 2020 draft do-over, and the Rangers’ playoff odds. Give it a listen!
