Braden Schneider's trade value is climbing even though the Rangers swear he's untouchable, Carson Carels is the fallback at five, and Connor McDavid is somehow mad at the wrong guy.

Episode 85 of Blueshirt Bandwidth has no Ranger to its name—nobody ever wore the number—so Joe and Chip lean on the $85-a-year ad-free tie-in, Mike Richter going 28th in the 1985 draft, and a whole lot of roasting editor Eric for the way he says "Wolf Pack." Charlie Vidal's Ombudsman Report cleans up the draft order (the Rangers land 26th, not 27th, after Buffalo's Game 7 overtime collapse in Montreal) and dings Eric for sending Cam Talbot to the wrong college. Then the real stuff: Minnesota is eating itself alive over Kirill Kaprizov's contract and an unsigned Quinn Hughes, and the guys think Bill Guerin should finally pay up for Vincent Trocheck, with Danila Yurov as the prize and Florida, Detroit, and even New Jersey lurking as suitors. They make the case again for trading up to second overall for Stenberg with Braden Schneider as the centerpiece, dig into why the Rangers swear Schneider is untouchable but have never once treated him that way, lay out Carson Carles as the fallback at five, and watch Caleb Malhotra slide to Vancouver. Plus Connor McDavid being mad at the wrong guy, Vegas refusing to let anyone interview Bruce Cassidy, and a question-thread romp that crowns J.T. Miller the last Ranger you'd want on a deserted island and Matt Rempe the first. Give it a listen!
