Blueshirt Banter ready to beam up!

Ok so with a long summer ahead of us, occasionally we're going to talk about some things other than hockey, be it other sports, TV, whatever.

Today, it's the movies.

I'm a huge Star Trek fan, mostly of the original series, and the movies that went with it. Although I saw all the TNG movies in the theaters as well, I was never more than a casual fan of that crew, and I definitely thought after the last movie they had come to the end of the line. I thought giving the reins to JJ Abrams was a stroke of genius, I felt he would be the breath of fresh air the Star Trek franchise desperately needed.

I've been anxiously waiting for the movie to come out. Mrs.jrs1940 and I will be seeing it tomorrow, we like to avoid the opening day crowds. I'll post my review after I see it.
