Derick Brassard is going to spend Christmas with Mats Zuccarello
The Sens will be in New York right after the Christmas break, so this is perfect timing.
After four seasons with the New York Rangers, Derick Brassard made his return as a member of the opposition once again. Originally a part of the return that saw Marian Gaborik go to Columbus, Brassard ended up scoring 174 points over 254 games with New York.
He also became very good friends with one Mats Zuccarello - and they will be hanging out together at Christmas.
#Sens Derick Brassard said he plans on spending Christmas with ex-#NYR teammate Mats Zuccarello. Rangers host Ottawa on December 27.

#Sens Derick Brassard on catching up with #NYR Mats Zuccarello over Christmas: "I'm going to catch up and get under his skin a little bit."

Zuccarello was, let’s say, publicly bummed out about the trade. I mean, his best friend did get traded from the team over the offseason; no matter how good it may have been for the team (and bringing in Mika Zibanejad was great), of course he can be sad about that.
But the timing of the schedules so the Senators will be in New York right after Christmas? That’s perfect for these guys.
