Facing More Lineup Uncertainty, Rangers Recall Brennan Othmann
Personal reasons and another injury, Brennan Othmann could get another chance to prove himself as the Rangers face more uncertainty in their lineup.
In case you missed it, the New York Rangers recalled Brennan Othmann last night as they could be short two forwards heading into tonight's contest with the Dallas Stars.

Taylor Raddysh did not skate with the team yesterday for what was labeled "personal reasons." On top of that, Adam Edstrom was an early exit from practice as it was later reported that he was being evaluated with a lower-body injury.
It's a lower-body injury for Edström, according to Sullivan, who said he's being evaluated. #NYR

Some good news out of all of this, Jonathan Quick was a participant in the skate and is eligible to come off IR whenever he's ready. For now, Spencer Martin still remains with the team.
The Othmann recall surely acts as Taylor Raddysh insurance as it sounds like Edstrom could miss tonight's outing at the very least. Othmann finally registered his first goal of the season as he picked up a goal and an assist in the Wolf Pack's 6-3 loss to the Springfield Thunderbirds on Thanksgiving Eve. In 15 AHL games this season, Othmann has one goal and six assists for a total of seven points. While this call up is more out of necessity than reward, it's an opportunity nonetheless for a Rangers' prospect who is running out of chances to prove himself.
