Forgotten Pack Members: Ryan Carpenter
After being assigned to Hartford, Carpenter became a central figure in the Wolf Pack's magical 2023 Calder Cup Playoff run.

Welcome back to Forgotten Pack Members, my summertime series looking back on some of the random, yet notable, players to suit up for the Wolf Pack in recent years. In this installment, we remember another central figure in the Wolf Pack's Cinderella run in the 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs.
The Hartford Wolf Pack entered the 2022-23 season with a mission - return to the Calder Cup Playoffs. The organization hadn't participated in the playoffs since the 2015 edition thanks to ineffectiveness, collapses, and COVID-19. This year, though, that was going to change.
In December of 2022, the mission looked difficult to achieve. The team sat firmly out of playoff position, with captain and leading scorer Jonny Brodzinski up in New York. They needed a spark and needed it bad.
Enter Ryan Carpenter.
The veteran NHLer arrived in the Connecticut capital in early December and quickly became a force for the Wolf Pack, scoring at a near point-per-game rate and providing the spark that allowed Hartford to make their improbable run. Let's relive Carpenter's impactful tenure in the Connecticut capital.
