I can't believe I'm still saying this 17 games into the season, but it's another opportunity for the New York Rangers to find their first win at Madison Square Garden. Saturday's loss against the New York Islanders was another disappointing showing from the Blueshirts that consisted of the team once again being shut out. The Nashville Predators are also coming into tonight's game in a slump after losing seven of their last eight games.
Looking for a bit of a spark, the Rangers have recalled Gabe Perreault from the Hartford Wolf Pack and have sent down Jaroslav Chmelar, who appeared in two games for the team. Vincent Trocheck will also return to the lineup after missing time due to injury. Nashville Predators captain Roman Josi remains on injured reserve and will not be featured in tonight's game.

Player to Watch: Gabe Perreault
Well, it's the moment we have all been waiting for; Gabe Perreault will be making his season debut for the Blueshirts. Many pondered if he would spend the entire season with the Wolf Pack to develop or eventually be recalled. Perreault had a strong preseason performance and training camp, making the decision all the more challenging.
Through nine games in the AHL, Perrault has netted five goals and five assists. As it stands, Perreault has the sixth-highest point total of all rookies in the AHL. While it is not clear what role he will serve in or how long he will be with the Rangers, it is undeniably exciting to see him back in New York City.
Enjoy the game!
