Fresh off a road shootout win against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Rangers return to Madison Square Garden to take on the Detroit Red Wings for the second time this season. In their previous matchup, the Blueshirts emerged victorious by a score of 4-1, which featured a three-point night by Artemi Panarin.

The Blueshirts have recalled defenseman Scott Morrow and assigned Gabe Perreault to the Hartford Wolf Pack. Even though Will Borgen is considered day-to-day, he will likely remain out, and Morrow will watch from the press box. After an impressive 24-save night where he only allowed one goal, Igor Shesterkin will watch as Jonathan Quick protects the pipes. Head coach Mike Sullivan will not be behind the bench tonight as he is attending to a personal matter.

Player to Watch: Vincent Trocheck

After missing a large part of the beginning of the season, Vincent Trocheck has made a massive impact since returning to the lineup. In his three games since reentering the lineup, Trocheck has two goals and two assists. His return has allowed Mika Zibanejad to go back to the wing and Noah Laba to slide back down to the third line.

With everyone back in the spot they were at the start of the season, Trocheck has provided a boost to the top six and also helped improve the Rangers' depth. If Trocheck can sustain this level of play, it will go a long way in helping the Blueshirts find continued success.

Enjoy the game!
