The New York Rangers are back in action after earning six out of eight possible points in their last four games. While things didn't quite end the way they wanted in an overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, they will look to come away with two points against the Chicago Blackhawks. Despite starting the season 10-5-4, the Blackhawks have slowed down, losing eight of their last 10, giving the Rangers a prime opportunity to get a win on the road.

Don't expect to be seeing Adam Edstrom in the Rangers lineup anytime soon, as the team has placed him on long-term injured reserve. Jaroslav Chmelar will likely remain on the fourth line, making Taylor Raddysh a healthy scratch once again. Igor Shesterkin will get the start in the net after backing up Jonathan Quick against the Golden Knights. For Chicago, captain Nick Foligno remains on injured reserve and won't play tonight.

Player to Watch: J.T. Miller

After a dumpster fire of a start to the season, the Blueshirts captain seems to be finding his game and turning the tide in their favor. Miller has nine points over the Rangers' last nine games, including a three-point night in the team's four-goal victory over the Ottawa Senators.

As thin as the Rangers are in the top six, they can't afford for Miller to play poorly. If these last nine games aren't a fluke and Miller has gotten past whatever was holding him back, the team's playoff hopes start to once again feel real in a weak Eastern Conference.
