After coming away with a win in Pittsburgh against the Penguins, the New York Rangers are back at home taking on the Washington Capitals. The Rangers were propelled to victory by a two-goal, three-point performance by Adam Fox. The Capitals come into tonight with a 1-1 record after finding their first win against the New York Islanders last night.

The Blueshirts are once again dealing with some line changes, as Carson Soucy has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury, and Connor Mackey has been called up from the Hartford Wolf Pack. Matthew Robertson is expected to make his season debut for the team tonight, along with the first start for goaltender Jonathan Quick.

After an offseason (if not more) of being slandered, Adam Fox has started the season hot. Through three games, Fox has netted three goals and has one assist. He has made the most of playing with Vladislav Gavrikov, the best defensive partner he has had in his Rangers career.

Last year, it took Fox 48 games to find three goals, and he will now set his sights higher. Fox has already started his Norris Trophy campaign, and I see no reason why he will be slowing down anytime soon. The Blueshirts will try to keep Adam Fox hot, as he is key to their success.
