For the third time this season, the New York Rangers are set to take on their indivision rivals, the Carolina Hurricanes. Each team has a win against the other, with tonight's game being the tiebreaker. The Rangers will look to rebound after once again being shut out in their loss against the New York Islanders. While Carolina did find a win in their previous game, they have lost three of their last four games, and a win tonight would go a long way.
Following a stellar performance Sunday, Igor Shesterkin returns to the net for the Blueshirts. Sam Carrick is dealing with an illness, and head coach Mike Sullivan has stated he will be a game-time decision. Adam Fox traveled and practiced with the team but will not make his return tonight. Seth Jarvis and Jacob Slavin are both out tonight, and old friend K'Andre Miller is a game-time decision.
