It's officially the halfway point of the season, and the Rangers will be ending the calendar year on the road against the Washington Capitals. The last time these two teams played, the Rangers stole the win from the Capitals with five goals in the third, becoming the first team this season to beat them when entering the third period with the lead. Both teams are coming off losses, but only one can end 2025 with a win.

Adam Fox has been activated off long-term injured reserve, and Scott Morrow has been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack. Fox likely draws back into the lineup, as head coach Mike Sullivan stated he will be a game-time decision. Fox practiced on the top power play unit with Artemi Panarin, Vincent Trocheck, Alexis Lafrenière, and Mika Zibanejad.

Where to Watch

Cable/Network TV: MSG 2, NHL website, NHL app, and the Gotham Sports app

National Broadcast: ESPN+

Radio: 880 AM

Player to Watch: Adam Fox

After missing 14 games with an upper-body injury, the Rangers' blue line is getting their best player back. Before his injury, Fox and Vladislav Gavrikov were one of the best defensive pairings across the league and are now reunited. Fox will also hopefully revive the Blueshirts' power play, which has only converted six goals on 39 opportunities and has given up four shorthanded goals.

There is no denying the impact Fox makes when he is on the ice. Hopefully he is back at full strength and is ready to make the difference he is capable of. With Miller still out, a strong performance from Adam Fox is needed if the Rangers are going to take one on the road.

Enjoy the game!
