The show goes on for the Rangers as they travel west to take on the Anaheim Ducks for the second time this season. The Rangers are on the road for the second straight game following their impressive win against the Philadelphia Flyers. In the earlier matchup, the Ducks took the win in Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba's return to Madison Square Garden.
The lines will likely remain the same for the Blueshirts as they did in the previous game, which found success. Spencer Martin will protect the pipes tonight, as Jonathan Quick is being held out for tomorrow's game against the Los Angeles Kings. Carson Soucy has joined the team but will not play tonight. Kreider is expected to draw back into the lineup for the Ducks after missing time.
Where to Watch
Cable/Network TV: MSG 2, NHL website, NHL app, and the Gotham Sports app
National Broadcast: ESPN+
Radio: 1050 AM
Player to Watch: Mika Zibanejad
Mika Zibanejad remains hot coming off a hat trick in his last game, and for the first time this season, he will play against the Ducks and his former friend Chris Kreider. Zibanejad leads the team with 21 goals and is second in points, only behind Artemi Panarin.
As the Rangers enter this retool phase, it is likely Zibanejad will be one of the veteran players who sticks around. With his no-movement clause, he will only leave if that is what he wants. If he can keep up his play from this season, it will make what appeared to be one of the team's worst contracts bearable.
Enjoy the game!
