The first time these two teams met up, it was a high-scoring battle that the San Jose Sharks won in overtime. This time, the Rangers will look to come out on top and redeem themselves after losing to the Los Angeles Kings. The Sharks are also coming off a loss and will want to get their strong season moving back in the right direction.
The Blueshirts will roll out the same lines as they did against the Kings except Jonny Brodzinski is coming out of the lineup and Anton Blidh is in. Newly acquired Shark Kiefer Sherwood is not expected to make his debut with his new team tonight. Spencer Martin will get the start in net for the Rangers.
Where to Watch
Cable/Network TV: MSG 2, NHL website, NHL app, and the Gotham Sports app
National Broadcast: ESPN+
Radio: 880 AM
Player to Watch: Scott Morrow
As the Rangers sell off pieces and look to become a younger team, Scott Morrow could see an elevated role and should be part of their future. Morrow has six assists for the Rangers this season but is still looking for his first goal.
There is still plenty of room to grow, but Morrow has the talent to become part of the long-term solution. He has the ability to move the puck and contribute offensively but has made his mistakes.
Enjoy the game!
