The New York Rangers have won four in a row and will take a bus down to our nation's capital to take on the Washington Capitals. This is the first of three matchups between the team in Alex Ovechkin's last NHL season. The Capitals are 2-1 and coming off a home victory against the Washington Capitals.
The Rangers practice lines looked the same as their lineup in their victory over the New York Islanders. Head coach Mike Sullivan stated Igor Shesterkin will get the start tonight, and on the other side, Logan Thompson will be between the pipes. Capitals defenseman Matt Roy remains out with a lower-body injury.
#NYR lineup predictably looks the same:

Where to Watch
Cable/Network TV: MSG Network, NHL website, NHL app, and DAZN
National Broadcast: ESPN+
Radio: 880 AM
Player to Watch: Adam Fox
So far this season, Adam Fox has five assists in as many games played as good as ever. On the other side of the ice, Fox and Vladislav Gavrikov have an expected goal against per 60 of 2.46, the fewest on the team with a minimum of 15 minutes on ice, via MoneyPuck.com.

Fox is still in search of his first goal, but it will come soon enough. Fox remains one of the top offensive defenders in the NHL, and against a Capitals team with a lot of forward depth, the team will be leaning on him.
