The Hudson River rivalry continues after the New Jersey Devils surged past the New York Rangers in their first meeting. Both teams have won six of their last ten games, but the Blueshirts did drop their last game against the Los Angeles Kings. The Devils, on the other hand, are coming off an overtime victory against the Boston Bruins.

The Blueshirts will roll out the same lines they have had the past few games, except Jonathan Quick will be in net. On the other end, Jacob Markstrom will be in net for the Devils. Defenseman Brett Pesce is still dealing with a lower-body injury and will likely not play for New Jersey.

Where to Watch:

Cable/Network TV: TNT

National Broadcast: TNT

Radio: 1050 AM

Player to Watch: Matthew Robertson

Over the past few games, Matthew Robertson has gotten consistent time on the second pair with Braden Schneider. In an ideal situation, Robertson is on the bottom pair, but the Rangers are far from an ideal situation. However, playing him over aging veterans like Urho Vaakanainen and Will Borgen in a lost season is the right move.

Hopefully the extra playing time allows Robertson to hone his craft, and as the Rangers upgrade their blue line, he slots back down to the bottom pair. Until then, it will be nice to watch one of the teams' pleasant surprises get a much-deserved boost in playing time.

Enjoy the game!
