It's the first of back-to-back games for the New York Rangers, who look to get back in the win column after dropping three games in a row. The Winnipeg Jets have also lost three in a row, with both teams standing at the bottom of the league rankings. While the Rangers continue to fight in a lost season, seeing the development of young talent is more important than a win today.

Since their last game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Rangers have recalled Dylan Garand from the Hartford Wolf Pack and have signed Drew Fortescue to an entry-level contract. Garand was called up since Jonathan Quick is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, and Fortescue will stay at the NHL level but is expected to get some practice before he makes his debut.

Perreault's development with top line minutes has been one of the only enjoyable parts of this season. As the season ends, Perreault has established himself as one of the team’s best scorers and a good end to the season could help carry momentum into next season.
