The Rangers do not care about the tank, as they will look to make it four wins in a row after finding another win against the New Jersey Devils. The Montreal Canadiens are in the middle of an even more impressive win streak, having won their last six games. So far this season, the Rangers have taken down the Canadiens in each of their two games this season.

Expect the Rangers to deploy a similar lineup as they did against the Devils. Urho Vaakanainen has returned to practice and has lost the noncontact jersey. Head coach Mike Sullivan stated that Igor Shesterkin will get the start between the pipes but did not state who would back him up. For the Canadiens, Kirby Dach is still out with an upper-body injury and won't play.

Where to Watch

Cable/Network TV: MSG 2, NHL website, NHL app, and the Gotham Sports app

National Broadcast: ESPN+

Radio: 880 AM

Player to Watch: J.T. Miller

While the Rangers' captain has been underwhelming for the vast majority of the season, J.T. Miller is currently riding a four-game point streak, including a three-point night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. While it would have been nice to get this level of production earlier in the season, it at least shows the potential for a bounce back next season.

Miller has a full no-movement clause next season, making him nearly impossible to move, making a comeback season the best case scenario. In order to pull off a retool, the Rangers will need much better from Miller, but this recent stretch of games gives hope for that.

Enjoy the game!
