Jesper Fast out indefinitely
Last night’s black and blue 4-1 loss to the Washington Capitals at the Garden has given the Rangers both insult and injury. The same team that finally got healthy a few weeks ago is now battling injuries throughout the lineup.
Larry Brooks has reported that Rangers’ winger Jesper Fast is out indefinitely with a separated shoulder.

Fast had 14:08 TOI last night at the Garden. It appears that a hit from Capitals’ captain Alex Ovechkin injured the hard-working Swedish winger.
Ovechkin just hit Jesper Fast hard into boards, and Fast went off the locker room looking to be favoring his shoulder. Man, not #NYR's night

In the last three games Fast’s most frequent linemates at even strength have been Rick Nash and Derek Stepan. Don’t be surprised to hear that the Blueshirts will turn to Pavel Buchnevich to fill the hole left in their lineup.
Fast joins Dan Girardi, Mika Zibanejad and Kevin Klein on the list of currently sidelined Rangers. Matt Puempel was a last minute replacement for an injured Zibanejad last night. Chris Kreider also left last night’s game briefly, but he returned to the game. Stepan was also shaken up by a big hit from Tom Wilson.

It looks like Fast will be out 2-3 weeks with his shoulder injury.
