Marc Staal Injury: Staal Participating In Practice

Marc Staal is practicing with the Rangers.

According to Steve Zipay, New York Rangers defenseman Marc Staal is skating in a full practice for the first time since injuring his eye a couple of weeks ago.

The Rangers have really missed Staal since he went down with the injury, and his return would be fantastic in helping the Rangers shore up their defense. To this point, John Moore and Steve Eminger populate the bottom pairing. I would have to expect Eminger to sit if in fact Staal came back - why would you put a 22-year-old who has been good in the press box? - but to this point that's just speculation.

Staal did say just a few days ago that his vision was still burry, so I wouldn't expect a return for the Rangers' next game, but this has to be seen as a good sign for the defenseman.

It's a good sign for the Rangers, too.

More when we have it, but for now, thoughts on this, guys?
