MTPS: Bringing Kaprizov to New York
What if Kirill Kaprizov decided Broadway was his next stop? We cooked up a blockbuster that Minnesota might actually have to consider.

Well, let's start with this...
Sources say #mnwild superstar Kirill Kaprizov’s camp turned down an extension offer believed to be 8-years, $128 million in a meeting on Tuesday in Minnesota that would have made him the highest-paid player in #NHL history in both AAV ($16 million) and total dollars.

and then this...

all of which brings us to this...

Disclaimer:
It should be noted that (at the time of this writing) we don’t know why Kaprizov rejected the offer. It could be something as simple as some minor details in the contract. It could be the way payments were structured. We don’t know and it’s entirely possible that by the time this is published, Kaprizov and the Minnesota Wild have worked everything out and he does sign an extension. In fact, Elliotte Friedman noted in his 32 Thoughts podcast that it's entirely possible that the Wild will up their offer to Kaprizov. Now that the boring part is out of the way, let's get to the fun. The fellas took some time to discuss the situation on the podcast, and generally agreed that, in their opinion, this isn't about Kaprizov wanting more money. It's about not wanting to spend the next eight years in Minneapolis. I'm with them.
That brings us to...
