New York Rangers at Buffalo Sabres Open Game Thread
The Rangers’ road trip rolls on in Western New York.
The New York Rangers (24-24-8, 56 points) continue their road trip this evening vs. the Buffalo Sabres (28-21-7, 63 points) at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo.
The Blueshirts are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games played, and are coming off a 4-3 loss vs. the Winnipeg Jets on February 12. The Sabres are also 5-4-1 in their last 10, and are coming off a win vs. the New York Islanders on February 12.
This game has some serious implications for both teams as a Sabres win would put them two points out of the second wild card spot whereas a Rangers win would bump them from No. 24 in the league (hypothetical pick No. 8) to No. 21 in the league (hypothetical pick No. 11).
#NYR Coach Quinn says Connor Brickley will be in vs. Buffalo. Chytil will be out.
