The Rangers continue their march towards the playoffs with their last visit to Joe Louis Arena to take on the Red Wings

Twenty years ago the Red Wings were the best team in hockey, storming towards their 1st of back to back Stanley Cups, and Joe Louis Arena was rocking as Hockeytown.

Now though? The Red Wings are looking at missing the playoffs for the first time in my life (that's 26 years for those who aren't em) and Joe Louis Arena is set to close it's doors as the Wings look to move into Little Caesars Arena next season. The Rangers continue their march towards the postseason going up against a Red Wings team that is closer to the lottery than they are to the playoffs, it's a weird sentiment.
