The Rangers are in Motown for an afternoon showdown with the Red Wings on national television

After snapping a three game losing streak with a 5-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, the Rangers look to build on their mostly solid performance against a Detroit team that finds itself in a rather odd position; being outside the playoff picture looking in. The Wings are coming off of a 3-2 OT loss to the Sabres and are desperate for points as the league approaches the All-Star Break at the end of the month.

Alain Vigneault said that he expects the same lineup this afternoon that picked up the big two points in Toronto:

Which means Henrik Lundqvist will get the chance to build off of his solid outing on Thursday and Adam Clendening gets more ice time on the Rangers blue line.

As for Detroit, it looks as if long-time defensive stalwart Niklas Kronwall will return for the Wings this afternoon with other lineup decisions being made after warmups
