So, this could be the last game of the 2014-2015 campaign for the New York Rangers who are looking at being knocked out of the second round of the playoffs in 5 games after winning the Presidents' Trophy during the regular season. A lot of people were picking the Rangers as the Eastern team that would make it to the Cup Final, and right now I think most Rangers fans are just hoping the Blueshirts can find a way to make history again and get past the Capitals. To say that Rangers fans are shocked and disappointed would be an understatement. This felt like it could be the year the Cup could finally be coming back to Broadway, but right now those plans are a joke. It all comes down to winning one period at a time and getting it done tonight, no matter what the cost. It's time to see this team play desperate hockey from the moment the puck is dropped to the moment the horn sounds at the end of the third period. It's time to get it done... or is it already too late?

The Rangers must win 3 straight games against the Capitals starting with tonight's Game 5 on the Garden ice. Hopefully the crowd will be behind the team and giving them the support and noise they need to find a way to push this to Game 6. If the Rangers win it tonight, anything can happen in this series. This team made a name for itself with its winning streaks and big runs during the regular season, it sure would be nice to see another one of those get started tonight, with all the chips on the line, in Game 5.

Mike's Player to Watch: Martin St. Louis

This could be Marty St. Louis' last chance at a Cup. He's already made it known that he wants to play next season, but given how he played in the 2015 Playoffs, this could be his last game in a Rangers jersey or maybe even an NHL jersey. St. Louis has 0 goals and 3 assists in 9 games. That just isn't good enough for a Hall of Famer who the Rangers have needed to step up with Zuccarello out of the lineup. Go get it done tonight, Marty. Give us some more magic if you have any left in the tank.

Enjoy the game and the thread. Be good to one another.

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!
