New York Rangers Game Thread: Rangers Vs. Senators

The Rangers look to clinch tonight against them pesky Sens.

Silver Seven | New York Rangers schedule | WC Standings

The Senators are out of the playoff hunt and are 4-5-1 in their last ten games. Ottawa has lost their last two games and are pretty banged up headed into tonight's game at the Garden. The Senators are without Bobby Ryan for the rest of the regular season. The Rangers are 7-2-1 in their last ten games and are looking to get two points tonight to clinch a playoff berth in the 2014 NHL Playoffs. This season, the Rangers have won both contests against the Senators and have outscored them 12-5 in those two games, including the recent 8-4 shellacking on March 18th.

The Flyers got bullied by the Bruins today and lost 5-2 so there is already less pressure on the Rangers but not getting points out of this game would be a very costly mistake... like not getting to Keanu Reeves before Laurence Fishburne did. Seriously, why didn't the agents get their sh*t together and grab him a little bit earlier? Lazy, stupid robots... you'll never take over the world at this rate. Bums.

The deciding factor in tonight's game? Mr. Anderson.

I'm not even sure that it's Mr. Anderson in net tonight but we all know the trouble he has given the Rangers in the past. Even if he is on the bench he's a menace and must be removed from the equation. Pepper the net with shots and go find some ugly goals tonight boys, we need the points.

Mike's Player to Watch: Rick Nash

The Rangers are going to need their big guns to start heating up as the playoffs draw near and there is no gun bigger than Nash. Nash has looked a great deal more dynamic in the final stretch here and the Rangers are going to need to see some more of that if they want to make some noise in the 2014 NHL Playoffs. Go make it happen Rick, we need you to be outstanding tonight and for the rest of the spring.

Let's Go Rangers.
