New York Rangers News: Rangers Announce Full Coaching Staff For 2013-2014 Season

The New York Rangers have announced Alain Vigneault's full coaching staff for the 2013-2014 season.

According to an official team release, the New York Rangers have announced the full coaching staff that will operate under Alain Vigneault for the 2013-2014 season. Scott Arniel will be under the role of associate coach, while Ulf Samuelsson and Daniel Lacroix will be considered the team's assistant coaches. Arniel will be handling the power play units, as well as the forwards, and Samuelsson will be operating the penalty killing and defensive pairings.

Daniel Lacroix will be the "eye in the sky" as Alain Vigneault described it, and will be in charge of pregame scouting, skill work, and overall player development. Benoit Alaire will also be remaining with the team and will stay under his assistant/goalie coach role. I'm sure Henrik Lundqvist is thrilled.

Arniel and Samuelsson were formally announced back in late June/early July, but Lacroix was the the one guy we were waiting on.There were rumors floating around last month about the ex-Ranger jumping on board, and those were all but confirmed today.

Vigneault will have a strong coaching staff on hand for next season, and it will be interesting to see how they operate as a whole. We'll find out in just 33 days as the Rangers open up their preseason in Newark against the New Jersey Devils.
