New York Rangers News: Rangers Recall Brady Skjei From Hartford
The New York Rangers have recalled Brady Skjei from the Hartford Wolf Pack, in an interesting turn of events.
In a surprising turn of events, the New York Rangers have recalled defensemen Brady Skeji from Hartford for tonight's tilt against the New Jersey Devils. Just 24 hours ago, Alain Vigneault said that the Rangers were conserving cap space, and as a result, they weren't anticipating an additional call-up.
However, according to Andrew Gross, the Rangers confirmed that one of their six healthy defensemen may be sick or "unavailable" for tonight's game. At the moment, there is no real indication for who it could be, and we will have to wait until AV addresses the media at 5:00 pm to find out.
This will be Skjei's second call up with the Rangers, and he will be appearing in his third game this season after facing the Edmonton Oilers and Minnesota Wild earlier in December. Skjei was extremely impressive during his first stint with the Rangers, so it will be exciting to see how he handles the pressure in the midst of a playoff run. In 52 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack, Skjei has compiled 3 goals, 19 assists, and 22 points.
