New York Rangers Open Thread: Rangers Look To Carry Momentum Into Philly

The New York Rangers came away with their first win of the 2013 season, and they hope to continue that tradition tonight as they faceoff against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Just 24 hours after earning their first two points of the season, the New York Rangers will take a trip into enemy territory to faceoff against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Rangers got back to their regular play style last game where they established a hard forecheck, and forced the opponent into making quicker decisions with the puck.

They will be facing off against a very injury depleted Flyers lineup tonight as they are without Scott Hartnell, Danny Briere, Brayden Schenn, and Zac Rinaldo.

Player To Watch For:

Marian Gaborik netted his first three goals of the season last night and came away with his 14th career hat trick against the Boston bruins. Gaborik is starting to heat up and find his groove early on. I expect more from him tonight as he continues to be paired with Brad Richards, and Rick Nash.
